Work Plan:

1.Names

2.Purpose

  1. Description
  2. Cost
  3. Conclusion/why we should use it

Name of Product:
Chronoer (Chrono = time, Pow(er) = battery)

Purpose of the Product:

The purpose of our product is to make life more convenient for everyone, everywhere.

By providing the wearer with the availability of additional power to their electronic device while also helping keep a tab on time at the same time, the Chronoer can be used for everyday travel and emergencies to help with everyday tasks.

Description of Product:

Our product is combined with both watch and a powerbank. As we can see right now, power banks are dangerous to bring especially in a hot weather. People usually put their power bank inside their back and use it to charge their phones. Because of that the heat that’s been released by the powerbank are stored inside the bag, and as the temperature increases,  the power bank might be damaged. However, sometimes this can lead to greater issues, such as explosion of the powerbank. Therefore, by using watch, we can use bluetooth charging technique to charge our device safely.

Estimate Cost:

We will try to make our product affordable for everyone and at the sametime we gain some profit.

We think the cost of our product will be approximately 50 dollars-100 dollar, this is a typical cost for a power bank with good quality.

Why we should use it ?

Our product functions similarly to a power bank and cost similarly. However, it will not limited when we should bring it since we almost bring our watches every single day. Also, we use bluetooth to charge our phone. Therefore, our phone will be fully charged without us noticing it.

Reflection #2/Reflection #2

QianXing’s Reflection 2

The main thing that I learned for this lab report is that the ability of explaining a list of process clearly.  Before doing this project, I have trouble explaining things and dividing them into smaller categories. Because of that when I am trying to write out steps, a lot of people do not understand what I meant. After this project, I have learned to break down things one by one and make sentences simpler, so more people will understand my ideas. In addition, not only I learned to break down things, I also learned some key components of writing this kind of report, such as bolded the key terms and provided an explanation for each of them.

One thing that I did well on this project is that my steps are easy to understand and easy to follow. When I was trying to write my steps, I reread it many times to make sure myself, the writer understand what I wrote. Also, I tried to use simple words and simple sentences, so it is easier for people to understand.  Also, while I am doing the project, I read through the textbook and take out some of the useful tips that I can use for my own project. Additionally, in case of confusion, I bolded the key terms and every key terms is following by a description behind it. In this way, reader can follow my steps clearly, and I also provided a diagram with list of the key terms on it.

One thing I need to improve on is I have trouble finding a good diagram for the reader. Even though the diagram that I had right now is fine, it is too small, and the reader need to take a deep look in order to see what’s written on the diagram. However, no one really have time for that. Also, I have trouble controlling the length of my report. Dividing a lot of research into smaller categories is always my weakness. I have tried my best to make a reasonable length that is not too long or not too short. But I don’t think it is perfect.

For this project, I think I should get a 97. First of all, even though my project doesn’t look too long, I spend like at least 6-8 hours into this. I don’t really have time to talk about every components that a car has, so I have to do research first before doing my report to see which parts of the car is the most important among the all and which parts of the car has enough details to make reader understand what’s going on. Then after I have chosen a topic, I need to do research, and I do a lot of research in it. I have to make sure does that research make sense, I have to make sure that my research is true.  Lastly, broken down ideas is never my strengths, so I need to spend a lot of time in it, and I have to read it and rewrite it over and over again to make sure everything goes well. Lasly, I spend a lot of time on writing this reflection. I tried my best to reflect what I did well and what I needed to improve.

QianXing’s Weekly Response #10

After watching this movie, it makes me feel very uncomfortable. The main character in the story is dating with an IOS.  I don’t really have an experience about that online, so I don’t really understand how it feels of loving someone online. In addition, it is not loving a real person, the main character fall in love with an IOS, it is a machine. Not a human being. Even though I don’t have experience involved with technology, my friends do. He has a girlfriend who is currently in China, and he lives in the U.S. Therefore, the only way they can see and communicate with each other is by using face time or social media.  I ask him about how he feels about this kind of relationship. He told me that it is really hard to keep in touch since they are in two different countries. The time zone is different, everything is different. If they don’t truly love each other, there is no way they are able to continue their relationship.

I think the above MEME represents my opinion to technology because I thought technology is supposed to make our life easier. However, based on what I have watched, it is hurting people. The technology is advanced to a point where it can do everything that a human can do, such as talking with another human, having emotions.  It can also do something that humans cannot do, such as reading a 10000 words document in a second. This is crazy. I can’t imagine that one day technology will able to do those things. It frightens me because we are supposed to control technology, but if they become super smart, can we still control them? In the movie “Her”, the IOS doesn’t seem to be controlled by the main character. Therefore, I just feel like if technology is so advanced just like what happens in the movie, it will be insane!
